The SEAP office places academically talented students, ranging from Middle School through College in Department of Defense (DOD) laboratories for eight continuous weeks during the summer. These students who usually possess a diverse background and have interest in sciences and mathematics work closely with scientists and engineers who act as their mentors. The program offers students a unique and positive experience in their fields of interest, thus encouraging them to pursue careers in science and engineering.
Most laboratories require applicants to be U.S. citizen. However, some facilities will accept permanent resident status. In some laboratories, security clearance is required. The students need to provide their own form of transportation for the duration of the internship. For further information or other programs sponsored by our office visit the links on the left.
